Financial Support from the International Office

The International Office can offer foreign students one-time grants and grants to those completing their course of study.

One-Time Grants

The applicant must have achieved his or her first degree or be a senior student in the Bachelor or Master's program. The one-time grant can be normally awarded only once to those who are currently in financial emergency.

Please submit the completed form only during the following office hours:
Mondays 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Wednesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Completed forms can be submitted permanently. 

Grants for Those Completing their Course of Study

Those who are currently in financial emergency and who are in the final phase of their study can apply for this type of grant. The applicants must already be registered in their examinations, and they will be invited to an interview.

You can pick up an application form at the ServiceCenter. Please submit the completed form only during the following office hours:
Mondays from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Wedenesday and Thursday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Completed forms can be submitted permanently. The deadlines are at the end of January, March and October, and on the 15th July.

Emergency Financial Aid from the ESG and KHG

The Protestant Students' Association (ESG) and the Catholic Higher Education Association (KHG) can offer not only emergency financial support, but also psychosocial and pastoral care for foreign students.

Free Cafeteria Food Program

The student administration can provide six months' worth of free lunches in the university cafeterias to students in financial need.

The Free Cafeteria Food Program is run by the AStA.
