Representatives for Teaching and Academic Programmes

The representatives for Teaching and Academic Programmes

  • support the Presidential Board and above all the Vice President for Education in all strategic, organisational and formal matters related to teaching and academic programmes;
  • coordinate the exchange of information with the deans of studies offices and other university and non-university entities (e.g. the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony [MWK]) in order to address general and specific organisational and content-related questions;
  • oversee the introduction of new consecutive master's degree programmes as well as the amendment and discontinuation of existing degree courses and
  • provide support for the internationalisation of teaching and academic programmes.

  • Areas of work:
    • Process support for the amendment, establishment and discontinuation of study programmes (MWK study programmes target agreement)
    • Process coordination for amendments to eligibility and admission regulations (ZZO, master's degree programmes)
    • Process support and review in connection with the regulation on teaching duties (LVVO)
    • Process coordination for the LUH Teaching Prize
    • Coordination of room planning where this falls under the responsibility of the vice president’s office
    • Coordination of deans of studies meetings
    • Processing of matters related to students and teaching within the context of the vice president’s office
    • Participation in the strategy group (coordination of development plan steps, support for preparation of application as part of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research Excellence Strategy)
